ReachMD, one of the nations newest and fastest growing media communications platforms for medical professionals, will premiere the first live interactive accredited medical education (CME/CE) program on November 16th, 2009, via its network of distribution channels, including ReachMD's national XM Satellite Radio Channel 160.
This new broadcast series is a partnership with North American Center for Continuing Medical Education (NACCME) who is sponsoring the series of four interviews; Deep Vein Thrombosis in Focus: Expert Perspectives on Reducing the Burden of Venous Thromboembolism. This series is CME/CE-accredited for physicians, pharmacists, and nurses by NACCME, and is supported by an educational grant from sanofi-aventis U.S. This live program series is designed for hospital-based and other physicians and allied healthcare professionals involved in the management of patients at-risk for VTE.
For the first time ever, participants will be able to listen to the CME/CE broadcast live on XM 160, on ReachMD.com and on ReachMD’s new MedicalRadio iPhone App. Participation in this activity is FREE. Following each interview with experts in the field, ReachMD will take questions live from the audience via phone at 888-MD1-REACH (888-631-7322), email at CME@ReachMD.com and via Twitter at CMEonReachMD.
“This represents the first national broadcast of it’s kind for continuing medical education where participants can interact with the world renown faculty that NACCME has lined up for this program,” said Gary Epstein, CEO of ReachMD. “ReachMD is proud to continue to deliver innovation in the Medical Education media space and we expect this new live programming to generate as much enthusiasm as our iPhone application last year.”
“Through our partnership with ReachMD, NACCME is excited about this integration of new media and interactive educational design that should be both informative and highly engaging for learners across the continuum of VTE care,” said Randy Robbin, President of NACCME.
