Oh, the ignominy of it. A UK judge has told Apple it must take out ads in the Financial Times, the Daily Mail, Guardian Mobile magazine and T3 and say on its UK home page for six months that Samsung didn't copy the iPad's design. On July 9 the court found that Samsung's Galaxy tablets don't infringe Apple's registered designs because they're "not as cool" as Apple's. Apple is expected to appeal. "Should Apple continue to make excessive legal claims based on such generic designs, innovation in the industry could be harmed and consumer choice unduly limited," Samsung said in a statement.
