ATLANTA, Nov. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Speedemissions, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: SPMI - News), a leading vehicle emissions testing and safety inspections company with stores in Atlanta, Houston, St. Louis and Salt Lake City, today stated that it has begun a pilot program of repairing customers' vehicles that do not pass the emission test. The program will be tested in all four cities with one store in each market being set-up for this pilot.
"This concept of emission repair is something that we've been reviewing for quite some time," said Rich Parlontieri, President/CEO of Speedemissions. "Offering emission repair services to our customers whose vehicles fail the EPA mandated test is, in today's busy lifestyle, a real convenience for them. They'll be able to get the car repaired, retested and be on their way without leaving the Speedemissions location."
Mr. Parlontieri continued, "As a means of growing this business unit, we also expect to send customers from our other stores which are located in a reasonable geographic proximity to the location that has been set up for the emission repair business. We believe this new service has the opportunity to add real value to our business by increasing store revenue and would hope to expand this service into several other stores in the first quarter of 2013."
