ROCKVILLE, MD -- (Marketwire) -- 11/05/12 -- Jinfonet Software, the leading provider in Java reporting, announces the general availability of JReport 11.1. The new release provides both enhanced performance for better scalability and end user experience, and improved interactivity features that give report developers and end users greater flexibility.
JReport 11.1 now runs report analysis faster than ever. JReport Server Live features the ability to automatically "push down" summary computations to the database that allows reports to run up to 100 times quicker compared to running computations locally. "Push down" technology also greatly speeds up the creation of new in-memory OLAP cubes that enable extremely fast in-memory slicing, dicing and drilling down of multi-dimensional data aggregations. In addition, the ability to cache detail data provides faster drill down to record details. The metadata layer is now enhanced with hierarchical structures that allow faster drill ups and drill downs along hierarchical paths, for example, through year, quarter, month or region, country, state. These improvements affect the core of JReport and will allow report generation and analysis to be more responsive and agile, leading to quicker business decisions.
JDashboard, the interactive visualization canvas of the JReport 11.1 suite, now supports even greater interactivity for users to gain more flexibility in their self-service reporting. This flexibility is provided with new customizable print layouts, themes, profiles and special fields, along with new dashboard components. Moreover, JDashboard gets a boost through chart enhancements including the use of formulas in properties and auto-format options. New gauge and indicator charts are added to the already rich collection of 40+ chart types. Through these additions, JReport 11.1 brings an overall richer reporting experience to report developers and end users.
A stronger mobile business intelligence solution is provided with JReport 11.1 and includes improvements to JReport Mobile, a native iOS app available for free on the Apple App Store. JReport Mobile is now supported on any device running iOS 5 or 6, such as the iPhone and iPad. The app also features an extended array of interactive and dynamic chart types, tables and crosstabs. JReport Mobile is being used by customers for mobile BI, anytime and anywhere.
"JReport 11.1 introduces the performance and customization that business users demand in order to make quicker, more timely business decisions. Agile business intelligence has never been easier with more ways to view data and quicker response times for data analysis through traditional Web and now mobile delivery," said Dean Yao, Director of Marketing at Jinfonet Software. "We continue to work tirelessly with our customers to improve our products, and JReport 11.1 is a direct result of those collaborations."
JReport 11.1 will be generally available within 30 days of this announcement. Experience the new features of JReport 11.1 during our live webinar on November 14, 2012. To request a live demo of JReport 11.1, please contact sales@jinfonet.com or call (240) 477-1000.
