The assessment appeared in an “October 2012 Online File Sharing and Collaboration Test Drive.” ESG evaluated and compared 13 cloud-based online file sharing (OFS) services offering similar features, and ranks Soonr Workplace at the top of the list in a number of areas. With more than 125,000 current business users, Soonr is one of the fastest growing companies in the sector. “Our testers sometimes used words such as ‘perfect’ and ‘love it’ when evaluating this product—words not often otherwise heard from these testers who have examined and assessed so many OFS products.”

The Test Drive was divided into IT Administrator functions and End-Users functions. “Soonr Workplace excelled in many areas of the…Test Drive. It delivers several advanced features while providing an experience for administrators and end-users that is…simple and intuitive,”

Some of the highest praise was given by testers for Workplace’s mobile capabilities:

“…testers encountered no problems installing Soonr’s mobile app on their mobile devices, and opening and reading files was just as smooth for them. In fact, Soonr received the highest mobile device use rating of all solutions tested. End-user testers were especially happy with what they described as the “perfect” rendering of many types of files on their devices, and they reported that they ‘loved’ having an integrated way to edit them. They used the mobile app to perform tasks that included adding a slide to a presentation, then quickly propagating that new file to their synch folders on the website—doing it all without having to launch any third-party apps.”

“Our testers were extremely impressed that files stored in Soonr can be created, synched, and edited right from the Soonr mobile app (instead of downloading other apps to do the editing), remarking that any workers who travel will probably love Soonr Scribble, a way to annotate and comment on existing documents and save them as PDFs for collaboration.”

Evaluators expressed admiration for the ease of synching that Workplace provides…
