Leading Online Travel Agency Utilizes Year Over Year and Mobile Data to Rank Top Destinations This Holiday, Including New York and Cancun

NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 11/12/12 -- CheapOair, a leading travel agency serving customers through CheapOair.com, today announced its top 10 international and national destinations for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. This year, New York, NY and Cancun, Mexico maintained the number one positions. Additionally, CheapOair utilized data from its suite of apps to identify top destinations booked through a variety of mobile platforms. Top destinations for mobile included Orlando, Chicago, Philadelphia and Los Angeles.

Domestic Thanksgiving Travel Facts 2012 vs. 2011:
For this year's top 10 travel destinations for the Thanksgiving holiday, eight domestic cities remain the same, with New York once again claiming the top spot. With reasonable holiday airfare prices compared to other cities on the list, Chicago makes its debut on this year's list and pushes Phoenix out of the top five. New York, Orlando, and Denver rounded out the top three, with New York and Denver falling into the same ranking positions as last year despite increased airfare to both cities.

International Thanksgiving Travel Facts 2012 vs. 2011:
Even with a 24% increase in airfare, customers continue to flock to Cancun this holiday season, allowing the destination to hold on to its number one spot for international Thanksgiving travel. With a decrease in airfare, London makes a big jump to second place on this year's list while Aruba takes fourth. Almost half of this year's list includes all new destinations, including Punta Cana, Managua, Lima and Puerto Vallarta, proving how Latin America is becoming a top travel destination this year. With flights to Lima on sale for less than $350, airfare for an international vacation will cost less than airfare to any of the top 10 domestic destinations this year.
