"Belkin reached out to Revel for a POS system for our first retail mall store this summer after a less than satisfactory experience with another vendor," said Maureen Lewis, director of retail operations for Belkin. "The personalized service has been stellar and custom solutions really have made running the business effortless. The staff is happy with the ease of the system, and I love the fact that I can check transactions and sales anywhere on my iPad, laptop and (soon) phone."
Goodwill Industries has also purchased Revel Systems' retail POS solution in 23 stores across Florida. The customized solution with detailed inventory control features provides the benefits of a full-scale enterprise POS solution at less than half the cost of Goodwill's previous solution.
Revel Intros Variable Pricing to iPad POS Space
The updated version of Revel's Retail iPad POS solution includes enhanced customization features developed specifically with retail customers in mind. New to this version, Revel Systems has introduced the very first variable pricing and variable weight pricing feature on any iPad POS solution that allows retailers to accommodate multiple-item purchases or multiple weighted items at a discount easier than ever before. At less than half the price of other legacy POS systems, Revel Systems' cloud-based nature also allows for the greatest level of individual customer customization on the market so that retailers can work with exactly the system they need to conduct business at their best without the hassle of dealing with an in-house IT team and back-office server.
Also new to this version is the Revel Retail Inventory Module. The inventory module is compatible with iPhone, iTouch and iPad Mini and allows users to update, change and print labels for inventory in real time. To maintain inventory, the system will also send customizable alerts for low inventory, etc. and allow users to place orders for new inventory directly from the iOS device. As part of the inventory module, Revel Systems has also partnered with Honeywell's Bluetooth barcode scanner for mobile scanning. The Honeywell handheld scanner is compatible with Apple iTouch.
Revel Retail POS also allows customers to:
- Process credits, exchanges and returns
- Track sales summary reports by employee for easy commission management
- Integrate with QuickBooks and other accounting software
- Integrate directly with Bluetooth barcode scanner
- Track customer order history, contact information and house accounts
- Search for items by name, SKU, category, and more
- Manage inventory, product costing and set threshold alerts
- Access the Revel's Marketplace to directly access third party apps and plug-ins like Facebook, Groupon and more straight from the POS system to optimize functionality and increase ROI of the system
