WAYNE, N.J., Nov. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Toys"R"Us, Inc. today announced that it has redesigned its mobile shopping apps and mobile-optimized sites for Toys"R"Us® and Babies"R"Us,® providing an enhanced experience for customers looking to shop the world's leading dedicated toy and baby products retailer from wherever they are. The company has also launched a new tablet-optimized site providing tablet users easy access to the two trusted brands.
Additionally, customers can now take advantage of some of the company's popular omnichannel services, including "Buy Online, Pick Up In Store" and "Ship to Store," through their smartphones and tablets. The company's enhanced mobile shopping capabilities offer a unified shopping cart as shoppers are able to navigate seamlessly between Toys"R"Us and Babies"R"Us within the app and optimized sites. The redesigned mobile shopping apps are now available for free download in the App Store for iOS and the Google Play Store for Android.
"As more and more customers use their mobile devices to browse and shop with us, we have worked to enhance this channel by redesigning our mobile site and apps, and have launched a tablet-optimized experience, making it even easier to shop Toys"R"Us and Babies"R"Us while on-the-go," said Milton Pappas, Vice President, e-Commerce Customer Experience. "With the addition of 'Buy Online, Pick Up In Store' to our mobile offerings, busy parents and gift-givers can place an order while out and about and pick it up at their local store within three hours – perfect for last-minute purchases leading up to Christmas."
In 2009, the company introduced mobile shopping options providing busy shoppers convenient access to its Toys"R"Us and Babies"R"Us brands from any web-enabled device. Since then, time-strapped customers have been able to shop the mobile-enabled "R"Us sites, and take advantage of the company's dedicated apps. Mobile is the company's fastest growing channel of customer engagement, and Toys"R"Us continues to look for ways to enhance its mobile capabilities.
