TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 11/13/12 -- CornDog Apps today launched Left Lane Looey(TM), a hilarious road racing game that puts a whole new spin on road rage. Players become Left Lane Looey, a racing delivery truck driver forever frustrated by morons who coast in the left lane. Players attempt to race past, around and even through all the cars and trucks that make Looey crazy angry when he is delivering his cargo of frozen chickens. Players earn or buy coins to purchase ammo to blow up, push away or fry cars and trucks in Looey's path so that he gets to his destination before his precious cargo melts or before his head literally explodes from losing his cool.
Left Lane Looey is available today for the iPhone® and iPad® for an introductory price of $0.99 (regularly $1.99). There is also an ad-supported, free version of Left Lane Looey with all the same features as the paid version. For a limited time, players who buy the app will receive 10,000 free coins that they can use to buy ammo, speed bursts and SereniTea(TM) drinks for Looey.
"Left Lane Looey uses quirky characters and scenarios to turn the frustration of driving in traffic into something fun and funny," says Harris Korn, President of CornDog Apps. "There are a lot of great racing games, but they are all very intense and serious. Left Lane Looey is totally different in that it is as much about having a good laugh as it is about getting to the next level."
Looey crosses paths with a unique cast of characters, including Road Rage Rhoda(TM), Cell Phone Guy, Slowpoke Sally(TM), Zombie Dudes, the Hillbillies and others who are all determined to get in his way and make him lose his cool - and the game.
With Left Lane Looey, every level is a new adventure with new challenges, new characters and a great soundtrack. In Bathroom Bedlam Looey has been drinking too much soda and needs to find a bathroom - fast! For Church on Time, Looey has to make a timely delivery to a wedding or deal with a bride-to-be that quickly morphs into Bridezilla. On the Dead Man Driving level, Looey has a delivery in Zombie City. He'd better get there quick or he'll be on the menu!
"The idea for the game came to me while driving on a busy stretch of highway in Toronto surrounded by slow and careless drivers. I thought: How can I turn this into something fun?" says Korn. "Left Lane Looey is for people of all ages. Adults love it because it's witty and they can identify with Looey's frustration. Kids are attracted to the game, as they love fun racing games and think Looey and the other characters are hilarious."
Players earn coins during the game by driving over them on the road, and by getting to their destination fast. Coins can be used to buy ammo for weapons such as the ChickenZooka(TM) and Chicken Wedge(TM) to blast irritating drivers out of Looey's way. Players can also buy Speed Boosts to race through traffic, and SereniTea(TM) drinks to calm Looey's nerves and lower his Rage-o-Meter(TM) level so his head doesn't explode. Players can also buy coins in the game to get ammo and speed bursts faster.
Left Lane Looey is available today for iOS devices. The game will also be available for Android devices on Google Play and the Amazon Appstore later this month. CornDog Apps also plans to launch the game on Microsoft Surface tablets and Windows Phone 8 devices, as well as on BlackBerry PlayBook and BB10 devices.
