A way to help families create and share video life stories and family legacies, Vimily offers users an easy to use, collaborative and secure environment to document their family legacy. With tools that guide users in creating a unique series of interview questions, members can record an interview with a family member, upload it to a secure and easy to use environment where the entire family can view and add other elements including photos and other documents important to their life story. Families can invite others to join the process and compile additional life stories to complete the family tree.
"Your family history is precious and we provide the tools needed to document and safeguard those stories for generations to come. Vimily is a way to not only document the stories, but to create the questions and atmosphere needed to often find those stories," said Matt Barnett, CEO & Co-Founder of Vimily. "The lessons and stories of our parents and grandparents are important tools and touchstones for our families. Vimily can help you document and preserve them so that your children and their children can experience them."
This holiday season, Vimily is the perfect gift to give or receive. It's a great way to show parents and grandparents how much they and their narration of their life story mean to you. It can also help connect older and younger generations as they complete the interview process and spend time sharing stories. Engaging the entire family, Vimily can help bring everyone together through the collaborative interview process and then again when the interview is complete as you add documents and other content to enrich the story.
Vimily understands that your family memories are precious and has worked hard to create a site and experience that will safeguard your legacy for years to come. Each profile is password protected and Vimily won't share your personal information with anyone else. And if you need help at any point the Vimily family is always there to answer your questions. Offered at several price points users can buy Vimily for as many family members as they like. For a one time fee of $49.99 users can create three life stories. For $79.99 users can increase their family tree to include 6 stories and for large families users upload 15 stories for $179.99. Additional members can be added for $5.00 each.
Once you create your family story you can download it from the Vimily site and store it on your computer or you can continue to store your stories on the Vimily servers. After one year users will be charged a nominal fee for this continued storage.
