Apple and Taiwanese phonemaker HTC have settled all their outstanding disputes over patents, ending a fight that began in March 2010.  The two firms also signed a 10-year license agreement that will extend to current and future patents held by one another.  Read Original Content

Phones running Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 make their retail debuts Friday, with AT&T and Verizon offering models running the new system to their users. The U.S. mobile data market grew 3 percent Q/Q and 17 percent Y/Y to reach $19.9 billion in Q3 2012. Data is now almost 43 percent of the U.S. mobile industry service revenues.
