TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 11/16/12 -- Up to a third of all new parents are repeatedly woken - night after night - by their new crying baby. It is exhausting and frustrating and almost impossible to avoid...until now.
Established in 1983, BabyDoze is the original genuine recording of a pregnant mother's womb sound. Made with the co-operation of Queen Charlotte's Hospital in London, one of the world's leading maternity hospitals.
The recording is now available as an app in both Android/Google and Apple/iTunes, allowing the mother to download BabyDoze into her phone, allowing her to take it with her wherever needed, the home, car, shopping etc.
The brainchild of Barry Authors during his wife's pregnancy, the BabyDoze app emulates the "familiar and reassuring sounds of the womb" with stunning success. In one major hospital trial, the app was shown to calm crying babies on 122 out of 124 occasions, usually in less than five minutes. The device was found to be significantly more effective than playing music or cuddling. A live test on the BBC 12 O'clock news was deemed by the presenter to be "Magic".
The recording was made using Doppler equipment and a specially adapted microphone. The sounds that can be heard are made by the mother's blood flowing through the placenta.

The app is priced @ $5.99 on iTunes/Google/Amazon/CDBaby etc.
