PASADENA, Calif., Nov. 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Wallaby Financial, the developer of a flexible, cloud-based wallet that can be used wherever major credit cards are accepted, today announced the release of a free iPhone application. The app helps consumers optimize their credit card rewards and benefits automatically.
Wallaby's iPhone App is designed for consumers who hold multiple credit cards offering rewards for hotel stays, airline points or cash back. The Wallaby app makes a real-time recommendation to the most advantageous card based upon the type of transaction, limited time offers, and other key factors. The app establishes rules based upon a user's stated preferences, allowing consumers to gain the most travel or cash back rewards from their cards.
Wallaby's new free app provides iPhone users with previously unobtainable credit card intelligence on their smartphones. "Every day that goes by, consumers seem to be more confused about which credit card will get them the most points or rewards," said Matthew Goldman, CEO and Founder, Wallaby Financial. "Our new iPhone app makes it easy for consumers to eliminate the confusion, and use their credit cards in the most advantageous way."
Goldman added that Wallaby's consumer value proposition compares favorably with the profusion of mobile payment solutions being introduced by merchants and financial services providers. "Consumers today need all the help they can get to make their dollars go further, and to get the most out of all of the available programs," he said. "By helping people maximize their credit card rewards, Wallaby is the most direct mobile route to a better consumer shopping experience."
With the Wallaby app, consumers have complete control over the rewards that are most important to them. "We simply offer guidelines on how to best direct their spending," Goldman continued. "Consumers can save up to 45 percent more with Wallaby's smart recommendations."
Led and co-founded by Matthew Goldman, CEO, and Todd Zino, CTO, Wallaby Financial is a Winter 2012 graduate of the Santa Monica, Calif.-based MuckerLab, a mentorship-driven startup company accelerator focused on serving Internet software, services and media entrepreneurs in Southern California. Wallaby is backed by multiple venture and angel investor sources, led by Founders Fund's seed portfolio, FF Angel, and including WI Harper Group, Quotidian Ventures and Karlin Ventures.
