In celebration of its interactive Christmas campaign, Barclaycard is offering fans of its official Barclaycard Facebook page the opportunity to win one of three 16 GB iPhone 5 phones, which is said to be the slimmest, lightest, and fastest incarnation of the popular smartphone series so far.
Anyone is eligible to enter the prize draw, which will run between Friday 16 November 2012 and close just before midnight on Thursday 22 November. However, Barclaycard customers will be in line to win a further £250 of iTunes vouchers if they are selected in the draw. Participation is a straightforward process that simply involves answering a trivia question along with providing basic contact details. Those who are not already following Barclaycard's Facebook page will need to become a fan in order to access the prize draw.
Three lucky entrants will then be chosen at random to win an iPhone 5, which features an extended display, longer battery life, powerful A6 chip, and ultrafast Wi-Fi. The iPhone 5 prize has been chosen to highlight the release of Toys Unleashed on the 16th November 2012, an augmented reality game developed by Barclaycard as part of its integrated Christmas advertising campaign. The Barclaycard Toys game takes augmented reality to a new level – using skin tracking technology, the characters will only come to life in your hand (or anywhere ‘skin’ coloured). Toys Unleashed is a free download available from the Apple App store and features three characters from the campaign – Mr. B, Chomp and Mike. Users can use their phones to play with the animated characters who will seemingly spring to life in the palm of their hands.
Barclaycard offers a range of different credit cards, including two distinctive rewards credit card options that give customers the chance to benefit from their transactions. The new Cashback card is designed for customers who use their card at least 15 times during a month and want to earn 2% cashback on their top five monthly purchases and 0.5% on all other expenditures. The card also includes an annual loyalty bonus and a welcome bonus when customers sign up (24.6% APR Representative (Variable) Annual Fee applies). For those who would rather collect points to spend at their favourite retailers, the Freedom Rewards card allows customers to earn Freedom points from purchases made with a wide range of participating partners. Additionally, the card offers double points for purchases made at UK supermarkets and petrol stations, a sign-up bonus, and triple points with select Freedom partners such as BHS, Bella Italia, Currys PC World and Strada (18.9% APR Representative (Variable)).
Barclaycard is deeply involved in pioneering mobile and contactless payment technology to create seamless integration with the needs of the future.
