Damien Bracken, dean of admissions at Berklee College of Music, will show how the renowned school used FileMaker software to create solutions for iPad at the TabTimes Tablet Biz Conference & Expo, Tuesday, Nov. 27, New York City. Bracken will explain how the school is dramatically increasing productivity and recruiting top musical talent around the world.
Bracken and his team of college recruiters created a customized audition and interview tracking solution with the FileMaker Platform. The solution runs on iPads using the FileMaker Go app, and assists the college in vetting over 7,000 students annually. On any given audition day, the admissions team has roughly 300 auditions to log in 11 rooms across campus, and in locations off-campus or even around the world. They use iPads to take notes and enter comments during both the audition and the rating processes.
“With 80 faculty and 40 staff on the road throughout the year and 7,200 applicants annually, the admissions process would be nearly impossible to manage without FileMaker Pro, FileMaker Server and the FileMaker Go for iPad app,” said Bracken.
Tablet Biz Conference is the leading tablet business event of the year highlighting how tablets are increasing productivity in business and education. The conference will be held Tuesday, Nov. 27 at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Manhattan.
FileMaker, Inc., a Tablet Biz sponsor, will demonstrate how to create and deploy iPad and iPhone solutions in the expo area.
