Action Systems, Inc. (ASI), makers of the Restaurant Manager Point-of-Sale System for the foodservice industry, today announced commercial availability of its mobile management application, RM Monitor, as a native app for Android phones. This service, which gives owners and managers remote access to key operational and management data, was initially introduced in May of 2010 as an iPhone application and the management teams of hundreds of restaurants and bars currently use it to stay on top of their business when off-site.
“RM Monitor is a critical tool for us to keep track of what’s going on in our restaurants,” says Rivers Corbett, co-founder and president of Relish Gourmet Burgers, a quick service chain with eight locations throughout Canada.
Anthony Clark, co-owner of Galway Bay Irish Pub in Annapolis, MD reports that “All of our managers use RM Monitor on a daily basis to stay informed about what’s happening in the restaurant.”
“After seeing the great value the initial release of RM Monitor has provided to Restaurant Manager customers, we knew it was critical to make this technology more universally available by developing it as a native app for the Android platform,” says Alex Malison, CEO of Action Systems. “RM Monitor provides Restaurant Manager customers a real advantage in the ultra competitive hospitality industry by allowing them to access and utilize information more quickly.”
With the introduction of RM Monitor as a native app for Android, Restaurant Manager customers with Droid phones will now have the ability to monitor information such as sales data, labor and cost ratios, and employee hours worked, from their smart phones. They can set up customizable alerts to notify them when, for example, potential fraud activities occur like voids and deletions. In addition to receiving pre-configured data, users can also request ad-hoc reports to be delivered in a scaled, readable PDF format.
