Hoppit, the leading ambience search engine for restaurants, has launched its brand new Android app in the Google Play store today. Available in 14 cities, it’s the only search app that allows you to receive context-aware suggestions and virtually visit each restaurant location. Hoppit’s iPhone app has also received a significant update, including menus, dish recommendations, and online reservations.
After analyzing over one million tailored restaurant recommendations, Hoppit’s relevancy engine makes it way to the Google Play store. Now Android users can browse through contextual restaurant, bar, lounge, and coffee shop suggestions alongside a curated collection of eye-catching interior photos.
Hoppit continues to expand its services, too. On both iPhone and Android, users can now peruse over 13,000,000 items on 250,000 menus and make online reservations at 20,000 restaurant locations. Menus are powered by a partnership with SinglePlatform from Constant Contact (NASDAQ: CTCT), and online reservations by a partnership with OpenTable (NASDAQ: OPEN).
“We’ve been keeping a close ear to our consumers, and on-the-go users want a one-stop shop app for finding a restaurant,” said Steven Dziedzic, CEO of Hoppit. “Our new Android app and updated iPhone app are exactly that, now including relevant suggestions, beautiful photos, menus, and mobile reservations, all in a seamless user experience. Hoppit brings a true one-stop shop experience to the world of restaurant search.”
Hoppit’s robust natural language processing technology and related algorithms take into account a consumer’s unique situation regarding atmosphere and accompanying guests, and provide personalized, visual search results. Originally launched in April 2012, this unique technology is an innovation in mobile local search.
Led by Aimee Higgins of Pandora Radio, Hoppit is backed by some of mobile’s leading pioneers.
