MONTREAL, QUEBEC -- (Marketwire) -- 11/22/12 -- Yellow Pages Group announced today the launch of a new release of its mobile shopping app for iPhone and iPod touch, ShopWise. Available immediately in English and French, ShopWise is extending its content offer and introducing new functionalities as well as an enhanced design . With the latest version, users can select deals and save them in Passbook for future use.
These latest innovations include the integration of a product catalogue featuring more than seven million items, and a list of some 600 local and national retailers. This gives ShopWise users easy access to product information during the purchasing process and allows them to compare prices among different merchants. The data stems from a partnership with Shoptoit, Canada's leading shopping search engine.
"We're delighted to present this new version of ShopWise in time for the holidays" said Nicolas Gaudreau, Chief Marketing Officer, Yellow Pages Group. "The success ShopWise has achieved since its initial launch is a clear indication that consumers appreciate having a mobile shopping tool that allows them to save time and money. With this new version, we're innovating once again and providing an even more comprehensive user experience adapted to mobile shopping, while providing merchants across the country with greater visibility."
Launched in 2011, ShopWise features discounts on thousands of products displayed according to the user's geographic location. Each week, an editorial team adds discounts from the Web and flyers from across Canada.
The ShopWise App is available for free from the App Store on iPhone and iPod touch at www.itunes.ca/appstore.
