Founded in 2000, Brain, Child is the largest literary magazine dedicated to motherhood. Each issue of Brian, Child contains personal essays, fiction, poetry, news, book reviews and an in-depth feature story. "Our readers refer to us as 'The New Yorker for Mothers,'" says Marcelle Soviero, Brain, Child's new Editor-in-Chief.  "We bring together the voices of women from different backgrounds and circumstances to provide insight and perspective."

Brian, Child kicks off its rebirth issue with the feature story, "Playing God," by Tracy Mayor, which delves into the need -- or lack thereof – of religion in our children's lives.  Mayor, author of parenting-humor book, Mommy Prayers, puts forth studies and statistics on both sides for readers to contemplate. Additional content includes essays by Patricia Hermes, award-winning author of more than fifty children's books, and Catherine Newman, popular columnist and author of Waiting for Birdy.

Brain, Child is available by subscription at www.brainchildmag.com and is available on newsstands, online, and as an Apple digital application.  Look for a special issue of Brain, Child focused on raising teenagers coming in Spring. Editorial submissions should be sent to editorial@brainchildmag.com.
