SUNNYVALE, Calif., Nov. 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Mimvi, Inc. (MIMV), a pure-play search and recommendation technology company based in Sunnyvale, CA, unveiled its plans for a series of mobile discovery apps at NASDAQ MarketSite in Times Square, New York City.
The first of these products, a search and recommendation app for Windows Phone 8 users, was presented to attendees at the NASDAQ event. Plans to launch similar apps in the near future for Android and iOS were also announced.
Michael Poutre, Mimvi's CEO and President, shared his thoughts on the announcement: "Today represents a milestone in Mimvi's history. The mobile app ecosystem has come a long way in the last two years. However, the issue of mobile app discovery continues to be a pain point for consumers and developers alike. We are therefore excited that consumers, developers and advertisers will benefit from Mimvi's best-in-class discovery technology in the form of native apps. Due to our partnership with Microsoft, and aligned with future plans, a Windows Phone product is first out of the gate. Nonetheless, Mimvi prides itself on providing users the world's most comprehensive search and recommendation engine for all mobile apps. People can therefore expect similar products for iOS and Google's Android to hit the market in the very near future."
