HOUSTON, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 12/06/12 -- Gamers-on-the-go, beware -- your new addiction just launched on the App Store. "Just Picture It!" is a turn-based, multiplayer game for iPhone that reimagines the experience of sharing old and new photos. Download this habit-forming new app for free and join in the fun: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/just-picture-it!/id543219953?mt=8
Playing "Just Picture It!" is easy: 1) take or select a picture with an iPhone, 2) create a caption for the photo, 3) give some clues as to what the caption is, and 4) send to friends to guess. While game play itself is straightforward, the experience is limited only by the player's imagination.
"I am so excited about 'Just Picture It!' because it allows the user to choose his or her own adventure," said Mason Software Company Founder and CEO Bob Huntley. "Since the game is based on users' unique photos, experiences, and circles of friends, the game will evolve in different ways for different people."
The possibilities for fun and learning with this game are endless. Enjoy having family or friends guess your location while traveling. Share a reminder of an inside joke with a friend or a group of friends. Practice a foreign language with a friend by photographing everyday objects and identifying them in Spanish or French or the language of your choice. Photograph spelling or vocabulary words for your children. And on and on and on.
In addition to spontaneous photo-taking on the go, "Just Picture It!" also creates a fun reason to revisit and share those old photos that have been getting dusty in your Camera Roll, and screen captures make for great games as well. You can also play "Just Picture It!" the old-fashioned way -- get together with your friends in the family room and play through your Apple TV.
"Just Picture It!" is loaded with fun features, including:
- Turn-based game play for gamers-on-the-go.
- Easy login and friend-finding via Facebook, your address book, or any email address.
- Push notifications to alert users when a turn is played or can be played.
- One-to-one messaging before and after each game.
"'Just Picture It!' is different from other casual social games because it is player-driven," said Huntley. "I believe YouTube's success and longevity is based on the fact that its user-generated videos keep its content fresh, creative, and current. Similarly, the photos driving 'Just Picture It!' are a hundred percent player-generated. There are as many ideas for new games as there are pictures in the world."
