The new toptable app makes it even easier to discover where to dine and make an instantly confirmed, free booking. The "Great Tables" carousel showcases nearby restaurants with availability and a pull-down interactive map lets users easily browse restaurants by location. A quick tap to the pins displayed on the map reveals table availability in real time. 

"We are continually looking at ways to improve how diners discover and book restaurants from their mobile devices. The larger display on iPhone 5 and the new iPod touch allowed us to add even more search features and visual elements," said Mike Xenakis, Managing Director for OpenTable Europe. The update also introduces larger photos in search results, better default locations, and a wealth of Retina-quality images. toptable allows visitors to make free restaurant bookings at nearly 4,000 top restaurants in the UK. Users can search by restaurant name or location, then further filter by cuisine, price, reservation time, or even offers. toptable members can save restaurants to a "favourites list" to book at a later date.
