MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 12/11/12 -- Cardign (www.cardign.com) in partnership with Digiflare Inc. (www.digiflare.com) announced today the release of the Cardign iPhone application, an innovative new mobile contact manager that leverages facial recognition technology to provide users with contact information quickly and easily.
Cardign lets users view all of the connections happening in their networks and around the world. By simply taking a photo of a Cardign user, other users in their network can automatically receive their Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, and LinkedIn contact information. The Address Book feature automatically refreshes contacts' data, ensuring it is kept up-to-date. For example, if someone changes jobs, their Cardign network will always be able to reach them using the most current contact information available.
"Cardign allows people to connect with each other in a way they've never done before," says Jean-Luc David, founder of Cardign and Chief Technology Officer of Digiflare. "Many apps on the market use business cards or proprietary techniques to bridge a connection. We have a real opportunity to use face recognition to open up our worlds and meaningfully connect with one another - putting a name to a face like we do everyday."
Cardign for iPhone is available as a free download on the App Store at https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cardign-contact-manager-using/id580620717?ls=1&mt=8.
