SecuraTrac®, a dynamic provider of mobile health and safety solutions focused on protecting children, seniors and employees, announced today that it has more than doubled revenue in 2012 compared to 2011. The company has experienced rapid growth this year in part due to new product launches, three new distributorships in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Malaysia, and increased brand recognition.
Beginning with the launch of its award-winning mobile app product line, SecuraFone®, in early January, SecuraTrac won numerous awards and competitions in 2012 including: the Consumer Electronics Show Mobile Apps Showdown (5th place) and the Caregiver Friendly Award®. SecuraTrac was also named a Top 10 Finalist for the SMB Innovator People's Choice Award, and is currently competing for the grand prize as “one of the most innovative small businesses in the country”. The company also became a member of the Electronic Security Association and AgeTek, creating new channels to market its mobile health and safety solutions.
Additionally, SecuraTrac’s brand presence was increased through media coverage and speaking engagements at conferences focused on senior safety and emergency response technology. SecuraTrac company spokespeople were featured speakers at the Consumer Electronics Show’s Silvers Summit, the summer meeting of the Medical Alert Monitoring Association, and the PERS Summit. SecuraTrac’s products were featured in over 200 news stories including national media coverage by: NBC Nightly News, the Associated Press, Reuters, TIME magazine, and the Wall Street Journal.
The company growth plans include product launches at the Consumer Electronics Show in January 2013. At the show, SecuraTrac will debut the newest addition to its mobile health capabilities, SecuraFone Health. The mobile application will have integrated wireless mobile health features for heart rate, respiration rate and fall detection using a “band-aid-like” sensor. Later in 2013, the company will introduce a stylish safety watch with personal emergency response and GPS features, and a lightweight mobile PERS (mPERS) global locator.
