SINGAPORE, Dec. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- TBWA dominated Campaign Asia Pacific's 2012 Agency of the Year Awards in four categories: 'Japan Creative Agency of the Year', 'Australia/New Zealand PR Agency of the Year', and 'Singapore Digital Network of the Year'. The prestigious awards show, now in its 19th year, took place on Monday, December 10 at The St. Regis Hotel in Singapore.
TBWA's Digital Arts Network Singapore won Gold in the 'Singapore Digital Agency of the Year' category, while TBWA\Singapore won Silver in the 'Singapore Creative Agency of the Year' category.
In the North Asia competition, TBWA\Hakuhodo Japan won Gold for 'Japan Creative Agency of the Year', making it the third year in a row that the agency has won the honor. Mitsuru Takamatsu also topped the 'Business Development Person of the Year' category for Japan / Korea.
Eleven PR picked up the 'Australia and New Zealand PR Agency Of The Year' Gold award, an outstanding achievement for the not even two-years old PR agency. The win arrives hot on the heels of Eleven PR's recent Australian accolades – Mumbrella 'PR Agency of the Year' and B&T 'PR Campaign and Sponsorship Campaign'.
In the 'Digital Agency of the Year' competitions, TBWA's Digital Arts Network Australia won Bronze for Australia, while Digital Arts Network Auckland won Bronze for New Zealand.
TBWA\Kuala Lumpur won Bronze in the 'Malaysia Creative Agency of the Year' category and TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno won Bronze in the 'Philippines Creative Agency of the Year' category.
In the 'China Agency of the Year' competition, held at a separate event in Shanghai on Thursday, December 13, TBWA\Shanghai won a Bronze award.
"We are extremely proud of our agencies in Asia Pacific, and all of the very talented people we have working across our network," commented Keith Smith, TBWA Worldwide, President International. "These prestigious wins highlight TBWA's creative and digital strengths across the region."
Smith added, "We've also been able to grow our specialist capabilities in Asia Pacific, namely with our very strong PR offering. Eleven PR Australia's multiple wins this year are a truly amazing achievement for such a young agency."
"Earlier this year, we established Digital Arts Network to leverage our best-in-class digital resources and developed local specialist labs with extensive competencies," said Philip Brett, TBWA's President of South and Southeast Asia. "Digital Arts Network Singapore's Gold win is a fantastic achievement and highlights TBWA's unique positioning and network capabilities for the digital future."
