Over the next two weeks, the Department of Commerce is releasing several key economic indicators. The Department of Commerce will release four Census Bureau economic indicators: Quarterly Financial Report – Retail Trade for the third quarter of 2012 (Dec. 17); New Residential Construction (Building Permits, Housing Starts, and Housing Completions) for November 2012 (Dec. 19); Advance Report on Durable Goods Manufacturers' Shipments, Inventories and Orders for November 2012 (Dec. 21); and New Residential Sales for November 2012 (Dec. 27). Note: The release date for the manufacturing indicator (M3) has been changed from Dec. 24 to Dec. 21 (details).

In addition, the Commerce Department will release two indicators from the Bureau of Economic Analysis, the Gross Domestic Product for the third quarter (third estimate, Dec. 20) and Personal Income and Outlays for November 2012 ( Dec. 21).
