ANN ARBOR, Mich., Dec. 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Mobiata, developers of some of the most beautifully designed and best-selling travel apps on the market, released an important update to both FlightTrack and FlightTrack Pro today, offering a brand-new sharing feature. Just in time for the holidays, users can now offer their complete flight path information via email and Twitter. By simply sending a link, travelers can share the flight's progress, estimated arrival time, gate and any information on delays. The update is available on both iOS and Android versions of FlightTrack 4.5 ($4.99) and FlightTrack Pro 4.5 ($9.99).
"Having the most accurate, up to date travel information is essential not only to the traveler themselves, but their family and friends expecting them as well," said Ben Kazez, GM and founder of Mobiata. "Our new update to FlightTrack and FlightTrack Pro enables users to give anyone their flight status in real-time, on a beautiful map and without the recipients having to own the app themselves, or for that matter, even a smartphone. For those less tech-savvy family members who are still getting used to email, this is the ideal way to send along your most current flight status."
A clickable link will direct users to a real-time map of the flight in progress which is displayed on a map with satellite imagery. In addition, the gate, terminal, airline and flight number are all now available for users to share as well.
