2013 International CES promises to be magnetic.
At next month’s Las Vegas extravaganza, Magnetyze™ by BuQu Tech (www.BuQuTech/Magnetyze.com) will be in all the right places – on display at the company’s MGM Grand suite, at the ShowStoppers press event -- January 8, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Wynn Hotel/Lafite Ballroom – and at CES Unveiled: The Official Press Event of the International CES, from 4-7 p.m. on January 6 in the South Seas Ballroom C at the Mandalay Bay Hotel. BuQu Tech is a recently-formed subsidiary of Battery-Biz® Inc., the leading U.S.-based manufacturer and distributor of consumer electronic power accessories.
Magnetyze by BuQu Tech applies patent-pending magnetics technology to keep iPhone and Android smartphones charged, synchronized and ready to “grab and go.” The high performance Magnetyze platform eliminates multiple cords, clumsy cradles and the need for new charging accessories with every smartphone upgrade.
Magnetyze is the first charging platform to enable Android and iPhone users to share a charger. When it’s time to upgrade to a new smartphone, only the Magnetyze protective cover or back plate needs to be replaced. The desk stand, magnetic charging cable and other Magnetyze-branded accessories will continue to work with any available Magnetyze smartphone case – Android or Apple.
On display at CES for the very first time:
- Magnetyze Magnetic Charging System for Samsung Galaxy S® III. In its first bundles for the Android market, BuQu Tech is offering two packages. The first, the Magnetyze Magnetic Charging System With Replacement Back Plate, is available for $59.99. Designed for Samsung Galaxy S III users who prefer a charge-only option, this configuration replaces the phone’s original rear cover with a back plate that offers seamless attachment to any Magnetyze charging stand. The back plate comes in two popular colors – gloss white or metallic blue – and includes a Magnetyze Desk Stand and magnetic cable. The second – the Magnetyze Magnetic Charging System With Protective Case – sells for $69.99. This option offers Samsung Galaxy S III users the ability to both charge and sync their data and protects their phone against daily hazards with a sleek, ultra-slim and light protective cover and polycarbonate bumper that fits over the existing Samsung phone with the original back cover in place. The protective case is available in gloss white or gloss black to complement a wide range of Samsung phones and comes with a Magnetyze Desk Stand and magnetic cable for easy charging and data sync.
- Magnetyze Magnetic Charging System for iPhone 5. BuQuTech will preview its Magnetyze bundle for Apple’s latest smartphone, which will go on sale in early Q2. Tailored to the iPhone 5’s larger form factor and new Lightning connector, the iPhone 5 bundle contains the Magnetyze protective case, desk stand and magnetic charging and data sync cable. As with the iPhone 4/4S, users simply slide the iPhone 5 into the lightweight Magnetyze protective case and attach the polycarbonate bumper over their smartphone. Magnets integrated into both the case and desk stand enable seamless attachment and simultaneous charging and data synchronization. Through the magic of magnetics, users can swivel their Magnetyze-enabled iPhone 360 degrees for both vertical and horizontal use – without detaching the phone from the stand or disrupting charging or synchronization.
- Magnetyze Extended Battery Magnetic Charging System for the iPhone 4/4S. For iPhone users wary of seeing just a sliver of white in that battery meter in the upper right-hand corner of the screen, BuQu Tech will showcase the newest way to double smartphone runtime. Priced at $89.99, the system consists of a protective case that includes a built-in extended lithium-ion battery, shielding the iPhone 4/4S from daily hazards, while tackling that all-too-common hazard of running out of juice. Sleek, slim and light with elegant soft-touch finish, the Magnetyze Extended Battery Magnetic Charging System adds up to 40 hours to the iPhone’s battery life, 10 hours for video and movies and 7 hours of talk time or web browsing.
- In other CES news: BuQu Tech has been named an International CES Innovations 2013 Design and Engineering Awards Honoree for its Magnetyze Magnetic Charging System. The Magnetyze system will be recognized at CES Unveiled: The Official Press Event of 2013 International CES, from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, January 6 in the South Seas Ballroom C at the Mandalay Bay. Products entered in this prestigious program are judged by a preeminent panel of independent industrial designers, engineers and members of the media to honor outstanding design and engineering in cutting edge consumer electronics products across 29 product categories.
