RBM Technologies, provider of the only retail communications platform that supports fixture-based planograms, localized campaigns, and execution compliance, today announced it has joined the SAP® Mobile Apps Partner program. Through this program, it plans to develop and market a version of RBM’s Visual Merchandising Manager (VMM) Mobile solution for retail clients using SAP solutions. VMM Mobile for SAP solutions is scheduled to be available in the second quarter of 2013.
VMM Mobile for SAP solutions will enable retailers to further ensure their displays and fixtures are being presented appropriately, following guidelines from headquarters that are specific to each store’s location. The app will give store managers an easy way to report issues and deliver compliance in real-time and capture photos of fixtures for validation of proper execution. Retailers can also deliver employee training and instructional videos directly to tablets through VMM Mobile.
RBM plans to define the integration between SAP for Retail solutions and RBM’s VMM solution using key components of the SAP Mobile Platform. Leading tablets for retail use will be supported, including those manufactured by Apple, Motorola and Panasonic.
“We’re excited for the opportunity to extend our application to those retailers that are looking for a comprehensive in-store visual merchandising solution,” commented Dan Wittner, chief operating officer of RBM Technologies.
The SAP Mobile Apps Partner program supports partners across the entire lifecycle, from enablement and developing solutions to going to market. The program offers a comprehensive set of enablement tools, access to required developer licenses, and support to help partners quickly and efficiently develop, market, and sell mobile apps via the SAP Store that meet the needs of customers. Also available within the program is an SAP certification for mobile apps, which signals to customers the quality of the packaged mobile app from the device to the back-end-integration level.
