SAN DIEGO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/16/13 -- Zeroline Golf, developers of the innovative new Golf MTRx mobile app that uses biomechanic analysis to improve swing efficiency, will donate $1 from each app purchased during the upcoming Farmers Insurance Open held from January 24-27 to the San Diego County Junior Golf Association (SDJGA) to support its mission to enrich the lives of youth through education, training and competition.
Zeroline Golf will share the SDJGA booth at the tournament and showcase Golf MTRx to spectators and golf professionals. Golf MTRx is the only mobile app that uses the integrated iPhone® and iPod touch® sensors to measure pelvis movement during a golf swing and then provide detailed analysis and recommendations for improvement.
Respected for pioneering junior golf programs since 1952, the San Diego County Junior Golf Association has helped influence the lives of thousands of San Diegans who credit their SDJGA experience with later success as business and civic leaders, parents and individual citizens. Notable alumni include current and former PGA Tour players Phil Mickelson, Scott Simpson, Craig Stadler, Pat Perez and Chris Riley.
"We are pleased to support the San Diego County Junior Golf Association and their mission to provide quality instruction and valuable life skills to San Diego county kids," said Tom Gibbings, Jr., CEO of Zeroline Golf.
Golf MTRx, now available on the Apple App Store(SM), uses biomechanic analysis focused on the pelvis -- the foundation of a powerful and efficient golf swing -- to identify swing elements that need improvement and prescribe drills customized for the user. Instructors can use the app to better measure swing efficiency and track student improvement. With Golf MTRx, there are no additional products to buy -- golfers can just secure their smart device inside their belt, and the app employs integrated sensors to gather data, explain its meaning and prescribe solutions.
