Tribal, rural business contracting opportunities and issues addressed
MILWAUKEE, Jan. 22, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- U.S. Small Business Administration Regional Administrator Marianne Markowitz and Wisconsin District Director Eric Ness will be speaking on SBA support for tribal, native, and rural businesses at a regional contracting conference on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center, Green Bay.

"We want to be proactive in talking with regional native and tribal businesses about the many SBA programs that can give them an edge in a competitive marketplace," says SBA Regional Administrator Markowitz. Both Markowitz and Ness are available for interviews in advance and during the morning of the conference, as are conference officials.
Several other federal agencies will also be present, including the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Department of Defense, the Forest Service, and the General Services Administration.
The second annual Building Your Capacity with Federal Contracts conference is hosted by the First American Capital Corporation (FACC) Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), a Tribal procurement center, and the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin working with the Northwest Michigan PTAC and Wisconsin Procurement Institute (WPI).
