- New PowerSkin® battery cases and SpareOne Plus emergency phone on display at Hall 7 Stand 7G15, February 25-28
BARCELONA, Spain, Feb. 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- XPAL Power, one of the largest manufacturers of portable power packs and the technology giant behind SpareOne, PowerSkin® and Energizer® Energi to Go® brands, will showcase its latest lineup at Hall 7 Stand 7G15 at MWC 2013.
PowerSkin®, maker of shock-absorbing, battery-boosting cases for smartphones, will preview its soon-to-be-launched battery case for the BlackBerry Z10. Boasting a new contemporary design, one-piece soft silicone exterior, and a 1500 mAh rechargeable built-in battery, the Z10 PowerSkin® is slated to launch in late March. Similar to all PowerSkin® cases, the Z10 model includes the classic LED light strip on the back indicating the amount of battery charge remaining in the case. It extends power to up to 7 hours of talk time, all within a slim 20 mm design and a featherweight of 88 grams.
PowerSkin® will also display its highly anticipated PowerSkin PoP'n, which hit the market in mid-February. PoP'n is a 2000 mAh Pop-on Power battery charger featuring small, flexible suction cups that adhere externally to most mobile devices and connect via an interchangeable tip to a Micro-USB, Apple 30-pin or Apple Lightning Connector. The PoP'n battery charger features a tough high-gloss plastic exterior, heat-injected soft rubber suction cups on the interior, and a grey Flex Tip Connector on the bottom that can bend up to 90 degrees, accommodating even the largest of cases (depending on case port opening), in order to charge the phone. It is one of the world's first Apple MFI-approved external battery chargers for iPhone 5.
On display from SpareOne, the world's only emergency mobile phone powered by a single AA battery, will be the SpareOne Plus – an upgraded version launched at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this past January. Upgrades to the SpareOne Plus include a location-based service which identifies the exact location of the cell ID, accessible through a free smartphone app and website, as well as audible numeric feedback which reads the number dialed and incoming calls aloud. SpareOne was designed to be an ultimate safety and communication device, providing up to 15 years of battery life when stored unused (off, with plastic tab inserted) or 10 hours of talk time when in use. Features include a torchlight on top which provides 24 hours of continuous light; a dedicated 911 dial button to alert authorities, which works with or without a SIM card; the ability to pre-set 9 speed dial numbers; and a new talk-through, re-sealable waterproof bag with a humidity-proof seal. The floatable bags operate in extreme temperatures of -22F to 140F and protect against water submersion for 30 minutes at a depth of 1 meter, also designed with room to accommodate a few small items such as credit cards, bandages, etc.
XPAL Power will be on display at MWC 2013 (Hall 7 Stand 7G15).
