RIDGELAND, MS -- (Marketwire) -- 03/01/13 -- C Spire Wireless, the only U.S. wireless provider that offers consumers and businesses a suite of personalized services, announced the introduction today of its first branded 4G LTE (Fourth Generation Long Term Evolution) mobile hotspot on the nation's only personalized network.
C Spire is the first wireless provider in the world to debut the compact and lightweight device, which features a mobile hotspot type wireless modem designed to provide high speed 4G LTE wireless broadband connections for up to 10 devices at one time, including Wi-Fi enabled smartphones, laptops, desktop computers, tablets and other connected devices.
The C Spire-branded 4G LTE mobile hotspot offers data speeds up to 10 times faster than currently available for speedy access to news, weather, email, entertainment, social networks and other rich content on multiple devices whenever and wherever needed by users.
"We're excited about debuting our second 4G LTE-enabled wireless modem on the nation's only personalized network optimized for the next generation of high-speed data services," said Jim Richmond, vice president of Corporate Communications for C Spire Wireless. "With personalized wireless, we want to make using our network easy, simple and intuitive for our customers and this device achieves all of those objectives with its sleek design and complete plug and play functionality for fast and reliable internet connectivity."
The C Spire 4G LTE mobile hotspot features an LCD color display that checks signal strength and battery life and monitors the total number of connections. The 3.6 ounce mobile hotspot works with any Wi-Fi enabled device, including laptops, tablets and more. Designed for easy use, the device features an 1800mAh battery with five hours of continuous operating time and 18 hours of standby time.
This is the fifth 4G LTE-capable device that C Spire has introduced since launching its next-generation mobile broadband network in September 2012. Last year, the company introduced the iPhone 5, the Samsung Galaxy S III and the Motorola PHOTON Q 4G LTE smartphones along with the Franklin Wireless 4G LTE smart modem on its next generation network.
Pricing and Availability
The C Spire 4G LTE mobile hotspot is available in all C Spire retail stores and through the company's telesales group at 1.855.277.4734 for $29.99 with a new two-year customer agreement that includes data services.
