LONDON, March 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
National 'Book and Donate' scheme being rolled out in aid of recently launched charity, Reuben's Retreat
Global car hire comparator, Carrentals.co.uk, is re-launching its successful 'Book and Donate' scheme to help raise funds for a newly founded charity. The scheme, in which the comparison site donates £1 for every booking made on six designated days, has previously been in conjunction with charities including National homeless not-for-profit organisation 'StreetSmart'. However the scheme will be re-launched this month to fundraise for Reuben's Retreat.
Reuben's Retreat is a charity set up in memory of Reuben Michael Graham who tragically passed away aged 23 months. It is aiming to open a retreat in the North West countryside that will relieve the distress of families and their close friends who have suffered the bereavement of a child, or have a child suffering from a life limiting or life threatening illness.
Alison Rothwell, Reuben's Godmother and Project Manager of Reuben's Retreat, said: "The retreat will provide many services including respite breaks, sibling support, counselling and recreational activities to those families who have suffered the loss of a child or who care for a child with a life limiting or life threatening illness. We are pleased to have the backing of a global company to help us achieve this and therefore we urge those booking car hire to book through Carrentals.co.uk on a set 'Book and Donate' day where possible to help us with our cause."
The charity was set up last year by Reuben's parents after he passed away from a cancerous brain tumour when he was less than two years old. The 'Book and Donate' scheme will run from March - May, and throughout these months there will be two set days on which, for every booking made, Carrentals.co.uk will donate £1 to Reuben's Retreat.
The Book and Donate dates are:
5th and 19th March 2013
9th and 23rd April 2013
7th and 21st May 2013
