INDIANA, Pa., March 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- EP World, Inc. (EP) a 42 year old award-winning publishing and communications company and publishers of EP Magazine, announced plans to apply for a GSA Schedule and actively pursue federal contracts. Government officials utilize vendors that have been qualified by the General Services Administration (GSA). EP has launched a subscription based Digital Platform that provides a monthly journal and a comprehensive Resource Guide that lists common and rare disorders and the organizations, associations, professional medical societies, treatment interventions and relevant product and service recommendations that help improve the quality of life for people with these chronic life-long conditions. EP Information products are used by physicians, allied health care professionals, teachers, caregivers and families to help care for people with disabilities and special health care needs, including returning veterans with a wide range of debilitating injuries such as limb loss, anxiety, stress, depression and PTSD.
The Resource Guide is also available in a pocket version and will soon be available as an App as EP is currently in the final stages of production and beta-testing of a new mobile phone App with a May 2013 release date for both iPhone and Android mobile telephones. This APP will be available for license to the US Military and VA and was cited as a key motivator in seeking a GSA Schedule contract.
"Our goal is to provide relevant information to military families so that troops deployed in conflict areas can stay focused on their mission," states Joe Valenzano, President and CEO of ep World, Inc. He continues, "Getting our company on a GSA schedule will also expand our reach beyond the federal level to numerous state and municipal agencies throughout the country helping them take advantage of our Special Needs Resources at set government pricing. The App is also useful for any state agency health department servicing employee families that are caring for members with special needs."
