IME call for people across the UK to help tackle youth unemployment by becoming online career mentors

Top online training provider Inspire, Motivate & Engage (www.inspiremotivateandengage.com) is calling for people across the UK to help their community this National Give & Gain Day by becoming an online career mentor and help tackle youth unemployment.

This Friday 16 May is Give & Gain Day the chance to give something back to the community through employee volunteering. Since the day started in 2008, the number of UK volunteers has increased by 300%, and there are all manner of opportunities out there for people to get involved in. However, many people still think they are unable to volunteer due to demanding work schedules and busy lifestyles. This is why joining the IME online mentoring scheme is the ideal solution for busy people who are keen to give something back, whilst also building their own skills and experience, as it only requires a time commitment of one hour per week.

Each party gets access to their own personal online mentoring portal, and each mentor receives access to a level 4 accredited Management & Leadership course as they mentor imbedded into their mentoring experience. We provide a full package of support from the start to ensure that the partnership runs smoothly, and the programme is tailor made to fit in around busy lifestyles.”

Mentor meetings can take place face-to-face, or online through tools such as Skype, so the scheme is 100% flexible around your day-to-day work. The scheme is ideal for people who are looking to boost their management skills, as well as to give something back through directly tackling youth unemployment. As one mentor put it: “I have enjoyed seeing my mentee develop and grow in confidence, this has been a really fulfilling experience.”
