Slacker has announced the availability of a new version of the Slacker Mobile application for iPhone, iPhone 3G and iPod touch. The free
application is available at the Apple iTunes App Store and by visiting www.Slacker.com using the browser from an iPhone or iPod touch.
The Slacker Mobile App for iPhone offers users* new features, including the option to view song lyrics for Slacker Radio Plus subscribers. The refreshed version of the app also offers visual and performance enhancements including a larger album art view, a recently played stations folder, a streamlined interface, faster transitions from song to song and the option to disable sleep mode.
With access to a song library that is four times the size of the leading competitor, iPhone and iPod touch owners can create their own custom stations with all of their favorite artists and songs or listen to over 100 expert-programmed Slacker stations. Listeners can also read detailed artist biographies, album reviews and now song lyrics providing a powerful resource for music discovery.
"The Slacker Radio application for iPhone offers listeners millions of songs, high-quality sound and an intuitive interface," said Jonathan Sasse, senior vice president of marketing at Slacker. "With new features and sleek usability upgrades we are continuing to make the listening experience even more powerful and easy to use."
The Slacker Mobile app works with the free Slacker Basic Radio service and Slacker Radio subscription services.
